MyERNIE 1.0

The MyERNIE Capstone project presents an innovative mobile application designed to streamline access to frequently asked questions for students. Drawing inspiration from the MyHusky app developed by Northeastern University, this application allows students to inquire verbally, receiving prompt responses within seconds. The information is sourced from a comprehensive database compiled by various departments across the campus.

Beyond its speech recognition capabilities, the app also features an interactive campus map, enabling users to pinpoint their locations relative to significant buildings. These locations are marked with detailed information, including operational hours. Additionally, the application incorporates a calendar that outlines key academic dates, such as breaks and deadlines.

The primary goal of the MyERNIE app is to alleviate student stress by providing immediate access to essential information. By facilitating quick retrieval of valuable resources, the experience at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University can be enhanced, making it more enjoyable and less frustrating for students.

This software was developed as part of a Software Engineering Capstone project by students Christina Corliss, Kate Delaney, Zach Horak, and Arseniy Gorbanev under the guidance of Professor Heather Marriott.
